We have had cause to visit this solicitor as my mother-in-law used them for her will. My husband is really struggling with the death and the appt to collect the will was 13 days after. It was also the day before the funeral so not a good time and safe to say his mood was not upbeat or sympathetic. We arrived on time to be told that the previous appt was running over and we'd be around 5 minutes wait. No one offered a drink at this time. After 20 mins we we're still waiting so a call was put through to chivvy them along, we were then offered a cuppa. When we got in to the office we were given a frosty apology from the woman dealing with us. My hubby was not ready to accept this and said it wasn't good enough. The woman just looked at him agog for not accepting her apology. As the meeting progressed she eventually told him off for his attitude to her, I said it could be expected given the funeral and the wait but she asked if we'd do that at the doctors and she'd already been told my partner was "grumpy". How very unprofessional that she pass on what a colleague told her in private and that she let it cloud her approach to the meeting at all. Picking up a will isn't a joyful occasion so they should expect someone to be a different mood to a house buyer. Will not recommend.
