It is a good shopping centre with a good variety of shops.However, there aren't really any shops at Frenchgate that you wouldn't get at another shopping centre like Meadowhall(which actually has unique shops) which doesn't give people that aren't local a reason to shop at this shopping centre rather than shopping at a shopping centre that they would normally shop at.The prices are okay and there are a shops for all of your needs. I do not recommend buying Frenchgate gift cards as some shops such as Brookfield's and other places do not accept them.I would recommend this shopping centre to the locals but not if it is possible/easier to shop somewhere else.I would go here again but I would prefer to shop somewhere else.
French gate is a really good shopping center. Plenty of parking spaces. The Bus station is on the Lower Level, so you don't have to go outside, Some lovely shops & Good food. Cosmo Restaurant is on the top level. It has food from all over the world. Buffet style, help yourself to anything, as much as you like, for a set price. Great Value.!!
An excellent experience! I have not been for a long time but enjoyed the time spent there!! I telephoned the shop where I was going to and was informed exactly where it was! Very friendly staff. I also noticed the diversity of shops just in the area where I was. I will go again and explore more!
Caught the train to Doncaster, the French gate centre is less than a 5 minute walk from the station. Spent several hours here with my daughter and granddaughter. Good choice of shops and a few places to get food and drinks. Wasn't very busy (Friday morning). Which made it a more pleasurable and relaxing. Santa Claus is there too !!!!!
not a bad shopping centre. nice that it is linked to both Doncaster railway station and the bus station. has a decent amount of shops and places to eat and drink. could do with more independent and less run of the mill shops that can be found in all the other shopping centres around.
