I have been using Woodlands library for a number of years and like many people I was concerned by the thought of the Library being solely run by volunteers. My concerns have proved groundless since I think they do an excellent job in all the aspects of running our local library. The facilities have improved no end, there are more events for local people, more groups and clubs covering a wide range of interests as well as helpful volunteers who are only too willing to help and advise when asked. It has a welcoming atmosphere, cosy seating areas, bright and inviting childrens section and well laid out shelves. The whole place is well maintained, clean and tidy. I took my grandchildren to the Halloween event and they loved all the activities and came home with a few freebies too. They are really looking forward to the Easter events there and it is good there are things for us to do in our local area. I wish all the volunteers good luck with their ventures and I hope they keep up the good work and know that there is support and gratitude for the time they give to keep our Library going. I love coming here on a Thursday evening to work with the kids creatively. Such creative minds especially when they are really interested in the crafts we make. They make some stunning creations..

Absolutely brilliant library, cosy, inviting & friendly atmosphere. Over the past year there have been many positive changes & all for the better. The landscape & interior meet my approval. I am very pleased to see the progress you have made in such a short time. The childrens section is fabulous. Well done Miss. Anderson & well done to all the volunteers who make this possible. Keep up the good work.

horrendous. never open. poor staff. computers hardly ever work

Does have wheelchair access and toilets. There is a sitting area to read and poorly looked after vending machines. Computers available when they work but don't ask the staff about them as it's obvious none of them are computer literate beyond the basic. Don't bother with the woman running employment skills/support/advice as her attitude is a nightmare. Little to no customer care, rude volunteer's and no organisation what so ever. Like watching the 'animals run the zoo' so to speak. Very unprofessional watching the volunteer's bicker among themselves on several occasions now. Totally disappointing experience. Gave 3 stars for sitting area and toilets, if not for this I'd give no stars.
