What can I say, the cleaning and security staff are, and I can't stress this enough, exceptionally rude. Their demeanour is down right appalling to abusive. I gave up a long time ago trying to ask for directions to a bus terminal or God forbid make a complaint about the service, with the use of mobile apps you can achieve both without ever interacting with their staff. Who ever is in charge of the interchange must be really incompetent, since they have done nothing to change this situation throughout the years. Its a complete shame and disgrace that people who use the service have to put up with this and instead of painting a good first image as you step into Doncaster, you are greeted with this reality, so you wonder what else can you expect out of the rest of the town. No wonder people avoid coming here. Doncaster really needs a reality check of what means to offer a good customer service and experience. The fact that the whole transport system has been sold off to the highest bidders, and is now run by private companies that have no regard for their customers and only look to line their pockets with taxpayers money is beyond disgusting. The lack of state oversight makes all this possible, so you can thank the council for this situation. And by the way, 20 pence for using the toilet, never thought that human rights will be brought down so low in UK but I guess profit trumps (sic) all.
This is my home town
The are plenty of bays for the buses and coaches calling here. There are 2 atms, a shop, a customer services office, and machines for food, drink, and travel passes. The railway station is part of Doncaster Interchange and has a covered through route. Some of the passes bought from the machines are valid for train travel which saves a visit to the ticket office or ticket machines. Lifts and escalators go to Frenchgate Centre and the car park.
Clean, dry, safe, pleasant environment. Constant visible security patrols inside, Customer Services desk, newsagents selling everything including snacks and chilled food.
staff work hard they must find it difficult with how rude the general public are and having to justify to the public for keeping them safe from young children flying around on scooters they do a very good job keep up the good work under the circumstances general public : stop being so stupid if there is lots of traffic on the road let me guess the busses might be a bit late
